Blah, blah, blah

I keep talking and not acting. I started off great yesterday and was even getting my water in. I went to SS in the pouring rain and actually enjoyed myself! Then I went grocery shopping and it kinda all fell apart from there. I over did it at lunch but managed to get it back for dinner. It looks like I might have another gain tomorrow or a STS. I am very disappointed in myself, I just don't know what to do to make this work. I know what I need to do and I am getting tired of listening to myself. I keep coming up with these plans and not following through...

What works for you guys? What helps to keep you accountable?

  1. I don't think there's one thing that works for everyone, even though we all have this same problem at some point. Sometimes the only thing that helps me through a funk is having a friend on the same plan. I also work in a room full of women that are always trying to tempt us with something. Since I can't stand most of them anyway, not falling off track is a nice "eff off" to them. I think small changes are the way to go too. Like if not enough water is an issue- make that your only goal this week. Next week try to eat more fruit if that's been an issue. Don't overwhelm yourself.

  2. I've noticed that I get hungrier at night, so I've been trying not to eat "breakfast".. I eat my first meal, usually my parent's lunch, a few hours after I wake up.. This way I don't totally overeat all day..

But I've made sure that if I go to the gym that I eat a Fiber Plus bar.. I think it's all about how your schedule goes and where you think you'll be able to cut out unnecessary eating.. :)

Thanks for the encouraging comments, btw.. you are awesome and I appreciate them so much! :)

  3. I have to say that eating a good breakfast is important because then you're not starving later in the day. Just find what works for you and take small steps.

  4. I agree with Mae, if you're going to cut somewhere breakfast is probably not the best place to do it. There's just TOO much research proving breakfast to be one of your most vital meals to jump starting your metabolism and curbing cravings the rest of the day. Find what works for you though. Maybe just changing WHAT you're eating for breakfast would help? I know if I have a muffin- I want carbs all day long, whereas eggs keep me full longer, and I don't want to snack.
